Applications are open for educators to serve on English, math, science and bias committees. This is your chance to shape MCAS test questions and content.

The Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) is updating the content of the MCAS tests for English, math and science. Members of the Assessment Development Committee (ADC) will be directly involved with developing MCAS test items.

A Bias and Sensitivity Committee will also review test questions for bias and sensitivity concerns based on considerations of age, culture, disability, ethnicity, gender, geography, languages spoken, race, religion, sexual orientation, and socioeconomic status

The deadline for applications is October 5, 2018. More information is available here.

Accepted committee members will have costs for substitute teachers reimbursed to the district and mileage is paid for travel over 55 miles.
