The Department of Elementary and Secondary Education has published the Sustaining Progress in Access and Equity: EdTech Strategic Planning Guide. The 40-plus page document cross references existing DESE policies, regulatory requirements and existing external resources related to all aspects of educational technology issues in schools.

This planning guide highlights the need for greater investments in technology support staffing, instructional support, high quality professional development and data management.



The planning guide also includes resources for student data privacy, assistive technology, infrastructure, cyber security and home internet access.

Districts can tap into both state and federal funding sources for capital investments, instructional resources and professional development.
