The MTA Educator Evaluation page is your starting point for understanding the core requirements of the Massachusetts Educator Evaluation System.

Evaluation is required for all educators including teachers, specialized instructional support personnel, administrators and superintendents.

The Department of Elementary and Secondary Education publishes model rubrics and model contract language that may be adopted or modified for local use through collective bargaining .

Districts may adopt digital tools to assist in organizing documents and feedback within the local evaluation system. Educators should always save hard copies of all educator evaluation documents in their personal files.
