If you are applying for your first academic Professional stage license or getting ready to renew a Professional license, let’s get you prepared now to avoid rushing later. This workshop covers the general requirements for a first Professional license. All Professional licenses must renew every five years, so we will explore options for collecting Professional Development Points (PDPs), documenting Individual Professional Development Plans (IPDPs) and working with ELAR.

  1. I am a certified teacher and Reading Specialist form CT moving to Mass. I have set up a ELAR account but am still unclear (after reading and researching) what I have to do to get an emergency certification for one year and then, after 25 years of teaching, do I still have to take the tests?
