Paraeducator E-learning from DESE

DESE is creating a series of e-learning modules to help districts train and onboard paraeducators. Your ideas and suggestions are needed!

Paraeducators are often left out of the planning and development of professional learning. While districts should still provide high quality learning opportunities for all paraeducators, the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education in developing a series of online modules to supplement paraeducator learning.

As part of the planning process ,DESE is taking feedback from paraeducators, teachers, administrators and other educators on what these modules should focus on. DESE held a series of listening sessions in April 2024 and heard from educators that they wanted more ways to provide feedback.
