The MTA submmited comments on the proposed changes to the SMK Requirements for educators.
A 30-day public comment period was a tight turnaround, but the Massachusetts Teachers Association is grateful to the members who took the time to give us guideance on our public comments for the proposed changes to the Subject Matter Knowledge (SMK) requirments.

We are thankful to the educators who expanded on our concerns realted to licensure renewal, adding licenses (especially adding special education licenses!) and the identical Social Studies and History licenses.
